Kylian Mbappe scored his 50th goal for France as they beat Germany 2-0 in the Nations League third place play-off on Sunday.
The Real Madrid star reached the milestone on his 90th appearance for his country, before Michael Olise doubled Les Bleus’ advantage late on in Stuttgart.
Mbappe is now third on the list of France’s all-time top goal scorers and needs just eight more goals to move ahead of current leader Olivier Giroud.
In the meantime, though, it has emerged that one of his international teammates is keen to join Chelsea.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, France goalkeeper Mike Maignan is pushing for a move to Stamford Bridge.

The AC Milan ‘keeper kept a clean sheet for France on Sunday, but Romano claims that he is keen to leave his current club in order to join the Blues.
Maignan, 29, joined Milan from Ligue 1 side Lille in 2021 and has since played more than 160 times for the Italian side across all competitions, keeping 59 clean sheets.
Romano claims that Chelsea are hoping to tie up a deal for the Frenchman before the first transfer window of the summer closes on Tuesday, however the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement.
It is claimed that the Premier League side have been in direct contact with their Italian counterparts in an effort to agree a deal, with a view to Maignan playing for the Blues at the FIFA Club World Cup later this month.
Maignan’s contract with Milan is set to expire at the end of next season, but it remains to be seen whether or not the Serie A giants will choose to cash in on the player this summer.
