All eyes are on the Phoenix Suns this offseason as they are expected to make some major changes to their roster after their disappointing season.
Of course, the Suns finished 11th in the Western Conference this season with an abysmal 36-46 record that saw them miss the playoffs for the first time since the 2019-20 season.
Because of this, many around the NBA expect them to make some major changes to their roster, including possibly breaking up their star trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, which would likely see them move on from Durant and Beal to rebuild around Booker.

With Durant likely to be available this offseason, he enters the offseason as a prime trade target for many teams and he has already been linked to some including the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves and Miami Heat.
According to Action Network’s Matt Moore, the Los Angeles Clippers have also entered the Durant sweepstakes.
“Law Murray recently said on a podcast that the Clippers’ interest in (Jrue) Holiday was overstated; I’ve heard the same,” Moore wrote. “They are looking for bigger fish to fry, though I think a deal ultimately is unlikely. Instead of revealing the shocker that they’re a team that has talks with Phoenix about KD, how about this: they, like everyone else in the league, has called Phoenix about KD and just happen to be one of the teams that those talks have gotten out about.”
The Clippers are a surprising team to enter the Durant sweepstakes, especially due to them already having two star players in Kawhi Leonard and James Harden who make up most of the franchise’s salary.

For Los Angeles to acquire Durant, they would likely have to move on from Norman Powell along with multiple other players to match salaries, which would be difficult for them to do.
Because of this, it may be a long shot for the Clippers to acquire Durant and other teams would also be able to outbid them if it ends up being a bidding war for the future Hall of Famer this summer.
