Roony Bardghji receives concrete offer as Manchester United links to Swedish wonderkid resurface

Manchester United have long been interested in Roony Bardghji, and links to the Swedish wonderkid from FC Copenhagen have resurfaced following a concrete transfer offer.

Roony Bardghji remains one of the most exciting young talents in Europe despite his injury in recent months that has kept him out of action, and he is anticipated to leave FC Copenhagen this summer in search of a new challenge.

Manchester United have a long-standing interest in Bardghji, and considering INEOS and their insistence on youth signings since they took the reins at Old Trafford, it’s a surprise an offer or approach for the young attacker hasn’t been made already.

Bardghji has missed the last number of months due to an ACL injury but is set to reach a full recovery by the time the new season starts. The forward announced himself on the world stage with his goal against United in the Champions League two seasons ago and has been chased by the top clubs in Europe ever since.

A concrete offer has now been made for the player, which may alert Manchester United to act fast to avoid missing out on him.

Bardghji has concrete offer amid United interest

Manchester United may be about to miss out on their chance of signing the talented Roony Bardghji, as an offer by a top club in Europe has been made to bring the player to their club.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that FC Porto have now made an approach for the player, as they look to land a deal before anyone else in the race. The deal is not advanced as of yet, but discussions are ongoing.

Romano made clear in his tweet on X that several other clubs around Europe are interested, which does leave the door open for Manchester United, who are likely still interested in the winger.

Bardghji will become a free agent this December when his contract with Copenhagen expires, and there is currently no indication of a new deal being agreed upon with the Danish club.

Worth a try from United

Bardghji has generational talent, that much is for sure, and the only concern any interested club would have with signing the forward in the coming months would be how he recovers from his ACL injury.

Florian Wirtz has proven that a talented wonderkid can injure their ACL at a young age and recover, if not even come back stronger. The fact that Bardghji will be available on a free transfer means it is a low-risk move for any club interested.

Porto may have confidence of getting the deal done, but despite the Portuguese side leading the race, there is a long way to go before the Swedish forward gets the Here We Go treatment from Fabrizio Romano.

With United set to lose Alejandro Garnacho this summer, it could be a suitable replacement for the Argentine, adding more depth to the squad for Ruben Amorim and aligning with INEOS’s policy of youth development.
