Everton are set to do everything they can to convince Jack Grealish to make the move to Merseyside after being cast out by Man City.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that David Moyes “would love” to sign the 29-year-old, if only on loan.
Grealish is not expected to be included in Pep Guardiola’s squad for the Club World Cup and will be told to find a new club before next season begins.
This comes after Football Insider exclusively revealed on 22 May that Grealish expects to leave Man City this summer and has told friends he has been “frozen out” by Guardiola.
However, his hefty £350,000 weekly wage packet means very few clubs would be able to finance a permanent move and a loan may be his only option.
Everton will also be limited by his lofty demands, but feel they have a strong chance of securing a loan deal if City pay a large percentage of his wages.

Everton plot ambitious move to sign Jack Grealish on loan
Brown told Football Insider on 30 May that Man City will accept loan offers for Grealish this summer, although they would prefer to sell him permanently.
The former scout, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United and worked closely with Moyes during his time at West Ham, insisted that Grealish’s ball-carrying ability is exactly what Everton want.
“Everton will do all they can to pull this one off,” he told Football Insider.
“The one thing they lack at the moment is players who can keep the ball and drag them up the pitch.
“They’re alright at box-to-box football and happy to sit deep and hang on, but when they get the ball they can’t keep it and push forward.
“Grealish can do that, he gets you up the park and gives the defenders a breather.
“David Moyes would love to have Jack Grealish in his squad, I don’t think there’s anybody better for that type of role than he is.
“We had him when I was at Villa and that’s exactly what he did for us.
“Whether he wants to make the move to Everton, they’ll be doing whatever they can to convince him.
“I hear he’s pretty settled in the North West, so that’s one thing already going in their favour.
“Then there’s the question about paying his wages, I think the only way they could do it would be on a loan deal with City paying a large percentage.
“They want to get it done and think they could convince him, but whether they can is a different question because there are a fair few hurdles to overcome.”

David Moyes eyes shock move to sign Liverpool duo
As part of Everton’s ambitious transfer plans, they are also targeting a shock move to sign Liverpool duo Joe Gomez and Ben Doak this summer.
Brown told Football Insider on 9 June that Everton want both Gomez and Doak, who would be the first players to swap red for blue on Merseyside since 1992.
The Liverpool duo, 28 and 19 respectively, could be allowed to leave Anfield this summer after falling down the pecking order under Arne Slot.
This comes after Brown told Football Insider in April that Everton want to sign four new players with new full-backs and wingers at the top of their list of targets.
