Viktor Gyokeres is one of the most in form strikers in the world of football right now as he’s sprung to success under Ruben Amorim at Sporting Lisbon.
The Sweden international has been with the Portuguese for two years after arriving from Coventry in 2023 for £20 million.
Since then, Gyokeres has scored 97 goals and grabbed 28 assists in 102 games for the club, winning back-to-back Liga Portugal trophies.
This season alone the striker registered a mammoth 54 goals with 13 assists in 52 games, making it no surprise that Europe’s elite are circling for his signature.
The 27-year-old has made it relatively well known that he’s up for a new challenge and is keen for a move this summer, with links to Manchester United growing since Amorim moved to Old Trafford.
Over recent days it’s been reported that Amorim has kept up contact with the striker since they parted ways in October, giving more hope to United fans that he might pull on the red shirt next season.
However, new reports from Record suggest a move from Sporting is now almost definitely on the cards with Gyokeres “furious” with his current side.

Viktor Gyokeres has agreement breeched by Sporting Lisbon
The anger from Gyokeres comes from the gentleman’s agreement he had with his club to be let go for £50 million plus £8.4 million in add-ons should he wish to leave the clause.
This was reportedly negotiated so that his £85 million release clause wouldn’t be an obstacle should he wish to leave the club.
However, Sporting have reportedly been demanding £67 million for the striker, seemingly going against the agreement they had in place with their star man.
Whilst this is only an increase of just under £9 million, it’s the principle of disregarding the agreement that has enraged Viktor Gyokeres.
