Manchester United outcast Antony has enjoyed a complete resurgence on loan with Real Betis, as the Brazilian winger once more found his form.
Antony has struggled to live up to his £82 million price tag which United paid for him in 2022 under Erik ten Hag, however this all looks to be changing.
The 25-year-old’s spell in LaLiga has seen him help the side secure a sixth place finish and get to the final of the UEFA Conference League, with nine goals and five assists in 26 games.
Betis have been so impressed with their temporary signing that from early on in his loan spell they expressed a desire to make the move more permanent.
Whilst his new teammate Isco has joked about needing to start crowdfunding to raise money for his hefty salary of £200,000 per week wage.
However, Spanish publication AS has reported that with Antony being too expensive for the Spanish club to buy outright, the LaLiga side are starting to get creative.

Real Betis desperate to retain Antony
A season-long loan was put on the table with an obligation to buy, however a new option has now emerged.
The report explains that Betis are so determined to retain their new star that they’re looking at paying for a percentage of the player. In theory this would work in place of a loan offer, making an obligatory buy at the end of the season even more concrete.
As Antony has already proven himself with the club, Manuel Pellegrini is looking to secure the winger as soon as possible to move ahead with his plans for the coming season.
It’s understood that the feeling is mutual however, with the 25-year-old previously promising to move to Betis, saying he’d “do everything in his power” to remain with the Spanish side.
