Al-Hilal are desperate to get their squad ready under new manager Simone Inzaghi as they prepare for the inaugural Club World Cup this month.

The Saudi Pro League side have been drawn in Group H with Real Madrid, RedBull Salzburg and Mexican side Pachuca, with the side still wanting to make some new signings.

In the last few weeks, Al-Hilal have been rejected by both Bruno Fernandes and Victor Osimhen in their bid to sign a new striker and central midfielder to prepare for the tournament.

Now, following Osimhen’s rejection, the Saudi side are turning to another of Manchester United’s target’s this summer.

Al-Hilal push to sign quality striker this summer transfer window

The Red Devils themselves are looking to sign a new striker after Rasmus Hojlund has failed to provide reliability in the final third over the last two years.

As such, United’s recruitment team have been scouting Europe to find the top attacking stars, including the likes of Liam Delap, Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres.

Whilst United have missed out on Liam Delap with his recent move to Chelsea, with a move for Gyokeres still on the table given his recent anger with Sporting.

However, another long-term target of United’s is RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, with Al-Hilal also focusing on the striker as reported by CBS Sports.

It’s unknown how Sesko feels about a Saudi move given the fact he’s at the start of his career, gathering interest from Premier League sides like United and Arsenal.

Given Al-Hilal’s short turnaround deadline they gave Fernandes to make a decision ahead of the Club World Cup, it’s expected they’ll do similar with Sesko, to get their squad ready for the international tournament.
