Kirk Cousins To Attend Falcons Mandatory Minicamp

With everything that has happened with Cousins over the past year, he will be attending minicamp after not attending OTA's. There is currently no trade imminent, and Cousins can still try and prove himself to not just the Falcons but other teams around the league.

The minicamp will start on Tuesday and there were questions on if he would show up or not, but now we have our answer. NFL Insider Dianna Russini confirmed that Cousins will be attending this camp but also prefers to be traded to a team he can start on.

Cousins has been on the trade market all offseason, and nothing has come of it just yet, as many teams have their quarterback rooms in order. This minicamp could open some eyes, and some teams may notice that Cousins could benefit in their system.

As the offseason continues and the 2025 season gets closer, it is very possible that Cousins ends up staying with the Falcons. He has proven to be a valuable quarterback in this league, that happened to struggle after a huge injury. Cousins is also now 36 years old, and still has a lot left in the tank.

At the moment, the Falcons are the best bet for Cousins in 2025, as he can potentially jump in at starter at any point, if there is an injury or bad play from Michael Penix Jr. Other teams are also reluctant to take on his big contract and guaranteed money.

Falcons still have a long way to go until the season and updates will continue to come from this.
