Bournemouth may have given the most unambiguous indication that Milos Kerkez will be sold to Liverpool this summer.

The Hungarian left-back has been linked with a move to Liverpool for well over three months now.

Kerkez impressed for Bournemouth this season, starting all of their Premier League games, as they narrowly missed out on European football.

His impressive performance for Andoni Iraola’s side attracted the interest of several top European clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester City, and Real Madrid.

But the 21-year-old chose Liverpool over other clubs.

The Reds are now in talks with Bournemouth over agreeing a deal for him, and Fabrizio Romano recently reported that “Liverpool have one more round of talks away from signing Kerkez.

Liverpool’s sporting director, Richard Hughes, who was responsible for bringing Kerkez to Bournemouth in 2023, is at the forefront of negotiations for the defender’s move to Anfield.

Signing Kerkez would strengthen Liverpool’s long-term options at left-back, increasing competition for Andy Robertson and casting doubt over the future of Kostas Tsimikas, whose role at the club is now not clear.

The latest report from Fabrizio Romano suggests that Kerkez’s move to Anfield is looking like a done deal.

According to the journalist, Bournemouth has agreed a deal to sign a new left-back, Adrien Truffert.

“Bournemouth have agreed deal to sign Adrien Truffert as new left back, here we go,” the journalist wrote.

“Deal in place with Rennes as reported by Le Parisien, with medical to follow next.

“…and then Kerkez to Liverpool.”
