Manchester United are preparing for one of their most pivotal summer transfer windows in recent history as new manager Ruben Amorim looks to reshape the squad after a disappointing campaign.
Hopes of silverware faded when United fell short in the Europa League and ended the season with their worst-ever Premier League finish. Amorim now has a crucial few months to bring in players suited to his style and re-energise the team for next season.
With Matheus Cunha's £62.5m deal now confirmed, and a move for Bryan Mbeumo in development, United are also in the business of selling players. Manchester Evening News have found the latest headlines on two star players' potential exits.
Rasmus Hojlund latest
Since arriving in 2023 for £72m, Hojlund has struggled to find his feet at Old Trafford. With only 10 goals to his name this season from 52 appearances, his future at the club has been put under the spotlight.
If the 22-year-old was to leave United, Inter Milan looks to be a viable option at the moment. The Italian club's president, Giuseppe Marotta, has already revealed that his team do have an interest in bringing Hojlund to the San Siro.
Inter have already made their first big decision of the summer having confirmed Cristian Chivu as their new manager. Now, it only seems a matter of time before they make the call as whether Hojlund is part of their summer plans or not.
New goalkeeper interest
Lucas Chevalier
Manchester United have been linked with Lille goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier
United are reportedly eyeing a potential change in goal. Despite Andre Onana’s intent to stay and fight for his place, The Mirror claimed last week that the club could be open to offers for the Cameroonian.
Lille’s Lucas Chevalier has been linked as a possible replacement. The 23-year-old impressed in Ligue 1 this season, helping his side to a fifth-place finish and Europa League qualification.
According to Le Parisien, United are interested but face competition from PSG, with Lille expected to demand around £60m. If Onana were to depart—possibly in a high-fee move to Saudi Arabia—Chevalier could be a prime candidate to take the gloves.
