Arsenal target Benjamin Sesko has been approached by Saudi Pro League clubs over a potential summer move, Fabrizio Romano has revealed.
The RB Leipzig striker has reportedly received 'important proposals' in recent hours from clubs in the Middle East, amid ongoing talks over a deal to join the Gunners.
Romano claims Sesko’s priority is to continue playing in Europe, with further discussions expected in the coming days regarding his potential departure from Leipzig.
Arsenal are believed to have earmarked the Slovenia international as their priority striker target and are currently engaged in club-to-club talks over a deal.
Arsenal have yet to reach an agreement with either Sesko or Leipzig over his potential summer arrival, with further contacts expected this week to try and find a solution.
The 22-year-old striker is believed to be keen on a move to the Emirates and is particularly convinced by Mikel Arteta’s project in North London.
Sesko was targeted by Arsenal last summer, before he signed a new five-year deal with Leipzig, keeping him at the club until June 2029.
He is expected to cost almost £70m this time, as his variable release clause, based on appearances and goals, has increased following an impressive campaign with Leipzig.
The Slovenian scored 21 goals and provided six assists in 45 appearances across all competitions, including four goals in the Champions League.
Arsenal are believed to have earmarked Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres as an alternative to Sesko but face competition from Manchester United for the 26-year-old striker.
