Jaire Alexander will for sure go down as among the best Green Bay Packers ever but now, tag him as the one of the most coveted free agent.

The 28-year-old quarterback, who was drafted 18th overall in 2018, has left his first and only team in the NFL following the collapse of months-long negotiation for a contract. Fans who love him will now see him on the other side.
Whose side could that be? An NFL insider points to an American Football Conference team as the possible destination for the two-time Pro Bowl.
“Sources: The Packers and Bills held trade talks this offseason centered around CB Jaire Alexander, but talks ultimately fell through and Buffalo moved on,” Jordan Schultz wrote on X.
“It’s unclear if the Bills will revisit things now that Alexander has been released — especially since they spent a first-round pick on Maxwell Hairston — but they were a team that had shown real interest.”

The Bills, led by reigning MVP Josh Allen, reached the AFC Championship last year but failed to get past Kansas City.
Green Bay Packers’ CB situation
Alexander is perceived to be the best player in the Packers’ CB corps and could very much be the main guy once he comes back healthy.
However, their defense did not miss him that much during the time he was out from Week 11 to Week 18. Alexander missed 20 games in total in the last two seasons and Keisean Nixon, Nate Hobbs and Carrington Valentine held the forth while he was out.

Nixon said they love working with Alexander and would prefer to have him back. However, if things go south, they will continue playing the way they did in the past years.
“Whatever happens, happens. We don’t have control over that. If he’s here, we’re gonna rock out. If he’s not, we’re still gonna rock out. That’s just how it goes,” he said.
