Lamine Yamal has recently made headlines by becoming the most valued footballer in the world, with a market value of €200 million.
Pau Cubarsi, too, became the joint-most valued defender in world football right now, thanks to a valuation of €80 million, as rated by Transfermarkt.
While these two stole the limelight, a recent report from Diario SPORT has highlighted that the Barcelona team has a whole has enjoyed a substantial valuation bump since Hansi Flick’s arrival.
Barcelona’s valuation boost in Flick era
As per the report, the Barcelona squad is now worth €217 million more than it was last season, before the arrival of Flick.
This is a testament to Barcelona’s brilliant campaign that saw them secure the domestic treble, which in turn has raised almost everyone’s market value.
Pedri was one of the biggest risers, jumping from €80 million to €140 million after a season free of injury, where he dazzled under Flick’s structured system.

Raphinha, once deemed surplus to requirements, has revived his career to hit €90 million in market value, his career best.
Fermin Lopez, Marc Casado, and Gerard Martin also saw massive bumps in their valuations after enjoying breakout seasons. Even fringe players like Pau Víctor and Pablo Torre recorded increases despite limited minutes.
The headlines, of course, were made by Yamal, who went from being valued at just €120 million at the start of last season to €200 million.
While a few, like Ronald Araujo, Marc-Andre ter Stegen or Ansu Fati, saw drops, the overall trend is overwhelmingly positive, which bodes really well for Barcelona.
At a time when the club desperately need to bring in fresh revenue, the rising market value of their first-team members gives Barcelona an edge in the market.
