Tottenham Hotspur are working on appointing Brentford’s Thomas Frank as their next permanent manager.
Spurs qualified for the Champions League by winning the Europa League but finished 17th in the league.
Last week, Tottenham showed the exit door to Ange Postecoglou and claims in the UK and Denmark said they are keen on replacing him with the Brentford manager.
There’s even claims that the Dane has reached an agreement with the north London club, but Denmark’s Bold state that isn’t the case. However, they say Frank is ‘close to switching’ to Tottenham.
The report states there are still details missing, without explaining what they are, for the 51-year-old to leave the Bees for Spurs.
Bold also caught up with Frank’s agent Allan Bak, who owns Elite Consulting agency. The representative said his client is currently on vacation with his family.
Bold then asked the agent whether his client is ‘close to a move to Tottenham’, and he said: “I have no comments on that at this time.”
When pressed when he expects Brentford boss to make a decision over his future, Bak explained: “As I said, I have no comments on Thomas Frank’s future here and now.”
“There are many things going on, and we are busy at Elite Consulting,” he added.
Bold have found out that Tottenham will make a decision on their next manager in the ‘coming week’. In other words, Spurs should be able to finalise Postecoglou’s successor soon.
