On Wednesday, L’Equipe reported Stade Rennais rejected AFC Bournemouth’s first offer of €12m plus bonuses for Adrien Truffert. They also stated the Premier League club are expected to return with an improved proposal.

Bournemouth have made concrete progress and are now close to securing the 23-year-old’s services. That’s according to Le Parisien, who state the ‘final sticking point’ between the two clubs have been resolved.
Andoni Iraola’s side have been negotiating with the Ligue 1 club for a while and have seen two of their offers get rejected.
They improved their offer and reached an agreement in principle with Stade Rennais for Truffert on Monday. The report claims the fee will be around €17m including bonuses.

Truffert, who has a contract until 2026, has already decided to leave Stade Rennais this summer. He has an agreement in place for a five-year contract with the English club.
Now that a deal has been agreed between the two clubs, L’Equipe state the Belgian-born France international is ‘due to undergo his medical ‘shortly’ with Bournemouth.
