Now a free agent after completing a two-year, $19.5 million deal, the 18-year NBA veteran is drawing interest from around the league.

While the New York Knicks have emerged as a strong potential destination, according to Jay King of The Athletic, the Denver Nuggets and Indiana Pacers could also be solid fits for the 39-year-old.

"This deep into his career, would he want to go chasing another ring elsewhere? If he does, he would be a good fit for several contending teams, including the Nuggets and Pacers," King wrote.

"But Horford has really liked it in Boston and has five children to think about," King continued. "The last time he left the Celtics as a free agent, he signed in Philadelphia, where he was utilized so poorly that people thought he was washed up."

Denver, in particular, stands out as a logical landing spot.

With DeAndre Jordan serving as Nikola Jokic's primary backup, the Nuggets could use a more reliable option off the bench. Horford's experience and versatility would make him a valuable addition to their frontcourt.

This past season, Horford averaged 9.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 60 regular-season games, starting 42 of them. In the playoffs, he posted 8.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game.

A 2024 NBA champion and five-time All-Star, Horford has played for four teams during his career: the Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, and Oklahoma City Thunder.
