Liverpool and Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign the Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae this summer.

The 28-year-old central defender is likely to be sold this summer, and a report from TBR Football claims that he has been offered to multiple Premier League clubs. Along with Liverpool and Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign the player as well.

The South Korean has done quite well for the German club, and he helped them win the league title last season. He could prove to be a useful acquisition for Liverpool or Manchester United if they can get the deal done.

Newcastle United are keen on Min-jae as well.

Liverpool and Man United need a quality defender

Liverpool need more depth in the defensive unit. Joe Gomez has struggled with persistent injury problems, and Jarell Quansah is not ready to start for a team hoping to win League titles and the Champions League. The South Korean could prove to be the ideal acquisition for Liverpool, and he could compete with Ibrahima Konate for the starting spot.

Similarly, Manchester United have looked vulnerable defensively, and they could use more depth in that area of the pitch. The 28-year-old has experience and the quality to thrive in the Premier League, and he has the physicality to adapt to English football as well. His teammates have labelled him as a “really good” player.

It will be interesting to see if either of the two clubs decide to make a move for the player in the coming weeks. Convincing him to join the club should not be too difficult. The South Korean could be attracted to the idea of moving to the Premier League. It would be an excellent challenge for him at this stage of his career.

Liverpool and Manchester United are among the biggest clubs in the world, and the opportunity to join them can be hard to turn down for most players.
