Borussia Dortmund are holding out for £42m to sell Chelsea transfer target Jamie Gittens, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The Blues have already had a £30m offer turned down and supporters on X have been discussing whether their club should match the winger’s valuation:

Chelsea are not going to rush talks
The transfer window before the Club World Cup closes at 7 PM on Tuesday but it is believed that Enzo Maresca’s side are prepared to continue negotiations after that date.
Gittens is said to be keen on securing a switch to Stamford Bridge and there isn’t expected to be any competition from other teams, despite previous links to Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal.
Are there alternatives to Gittens?
The Blues had made Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams one of their top targets for the summer but the Spanish international isn’t expected to leave the San Mames.
Real Madrid’s Rodrygo and Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho have also been mentioned as potential options, but it is clear that the club favour a move for Gittens.
Of course, if discussions with Dortmund don’t progress, a decision may be made to explore alternatives, but for now, the England Under 21 international is deemed the priority to strengthen the left-hand side of the front three.
