THERE are set to be meetings between Liverpool, the [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/) and Milos Kerkez’s representatives this week over a potential move for the left back, according to reports.

The Premier League champions are keen to bring the Hungarian in to bolster their defence after an impressive season with AFC Bournemouth.

Kerkez was the only player to play every game of the 2024/25 league season for Andoni Iraola’s side.

David Ornstein of the Athletic reports that meetings are set to be held this week to discuss the move, with a ‘very good chance’ agreements will be reached for Kerkez to join the Anfield club.

Ornstein also reports that the Cherries are lining up a move for Rennes left back Adrien Truffert to replace Kerkez – but that move would only be done if the Hungarian leaves the club.

Bournemouth bolstered their ranks at left back in January, bringing in young Argentine Julio Soler from Lanus.

Soler made five appearances in total for Iraola’s team last season, three in the league and two in the FA Cup.

The three league appearances all came off the bench, while he started against West Brom and Manchester City in the cup.

Should Kerkez join Liverpool, he would be the second Cherries defender to join a top European club after Dean Huijsen joined Real Madrid earlier this summer.
