A number of clubs have already shown interest in the striker, with some reports indicating that Everton and several teams in the MLS are closely monitoring the situation.
Antonio has been working towards a return to full fitness after suffering a broken leg in a car crash six months ago. He was recently called up to the Jamaica national team by Steve McClaren for the upcoming Gold Cup. If he can prove his fitness, a move elsewhere remains a strong possibility.
David Moyes is a big fan of the striker and has previously shown his faith in the player when at West Ham -turning down the chance to sign Julian Alvarez in favour of keeping Antonio as his main forward. He also rebuffed interest from Wolves in 2023, stating: “We want him here, we want him playing well, we want him scoring goals, and we’re happy have him.”
With Dominic Calvert Lewin expected to leave Everton on a free transfer after rejecting a new contract offer, Moyes is exploring cost effective options, making Antonio a potential short term option.
