Gianluigi Donnarumma (26) has revealed a preference to remain at Paris Saint-Germain, amid interest from Premier League sides.

It is the Italian’s current contract situation that has Manchester United and Manchester City sniffing. Donnarumma’s current deal with PSG is up at the end of next season. There are therefore two choices: extend with Les Parisiens or leave this summer, so as to avoid a free transfer next summer.

As exclusively revealed by Get French Football News last month, the ball has been in the player’s camp regarding a renewal. However, the Italian has yet to put pen to paper, leading to increased scepticism of an agreement being reached.

However, speaking on Monday, the Italian affirmed that his “priority” is to remain at the Parc des Princes beyond the summer. “My priority is to stay at PSG. I think that there won’t be problems in the negotiations,” he told Sky Italia.

However, he then introduced an element of uncertainty. “I still don’t know what will happen. I haven’t decided anything,” said the goalkeeper, who recently won the highly coveted UEFA Champions League trophy with Les Parisiens. The coming weeks will prove decisive.
