Manchester United’s striker search is taking new turns every day after Liam Delap’s rejection but Victor Osimhen seems determined to get them to act.
Liam Delap was Man Utd’s primary target because of his age profile, Premier League suitability, and the ease of doing the deal due to the release clause.
However, since Delap rejected United for Chelsea, the club has been linked to every elite striker available in Europe, from Viktor Gyokeres to Victor Osimhen and many more.
Osimhen has always looked like the outside candidate due to the potential financial package needed to make it happen, but he’s just given United a huge boost.

Victor Osimhen makes transfer stance clear
Osimhen’s wages were thought to be a stumbling block for any move to the Premier League but since he rejected Al-Hilal’s proposal, the money is clearly not the only thing on his mind.
He is sure to leave Napoli and he’s already rejected Saudi, which means his heart is set on staying in Europe, where Galatasaray have been linked.
Osimhen became a Galatasaray icon in just one season and the Turkish club are trying to sign him, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Nigerian tried to go for a league with a higher profile.
As per Italian outlet Tuttosport, that’s exactly what he’s doing, which will come as music to the ears of Man Utd.

The report states that a decision on Osimhen’s future is yet to arrive because the striker is holding out for options in the Premier League.
Arsenal and Man Utd have been credited with an interest in the player, but with Arsenal advancing on the Sesko deal, the path could be clear for United.
Man Utd must remain informed of Victor Osimhen situation
United’s search for a striker has become a bit of a poker game where they are waiting to see who blinks first and gives them the advantage.
The club will have to sell to buy a striker after splashing nearly £120 million on Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha so the waiting game is clear.
That could play into United’s hands since Osimhen seems to be in no rush to decide his future, considering all options while rejecting the ones that posed a threat to United.
United are on top of striker options in Europe which is reassuring but Osimhen could genuinely be the sort of player who pushes a team to relevance single-handedly with his goals.
That is not an opportunity that shows itself every window and if he is determined to move to the Premier League, United need to stand first in that queue.
