Man United are planning to accept offers for Jadon Sancho this summer after his return from Chelsea, with Saudi Arabia his most likely destination.

Mick Brown, who spent over a decade as the chief scout at Old Trafford during the club’s most successful period and remains very well-connected there, exclusively told Football Insider that the 25-year-old’s options are limited as things stand.

While a number of European sides have been keeping tabs on his situation, his “staggering” wage demands have so far put them off of a move.

Chelsea will pay a fee of around £5million to avoid signing the winger permanently after failing to negotiate over his £300,000-per-week wages.

Last summer, Football Insider revealed Man United were prepared to sell Sancho permanently and take a “huge loss” on his exit, but could not find a buyer.

After a mixed loan spell at Stamford Bridge, they are set to face a similar issue, although interest from Saudi Pro League outfits may provide a way out.

Jadon Sancho to leave Man United amid Saudi Pro League latest

United are in a similarly difficult with Marcus Rashford, as Brown told Football Insider Rashford could leave on loan again as a result of his wage demands.

The former scout, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment and also worked for the likes of Tottenham, Aston Villa and West Ham, insisted that a move to Saudi Arabia is the only realistic option if Sancho is to leave permanently.

“The reason he isn’t staying at Chelsea is because of his wage demands,” he told Football Insider.

“He’s asking for around £300,000 per week, it’s staggering.

“There aren’t many clubs who can afford that sort of money, and the ones who can aren’t going to see Jadon Sancho as the answer to their prayers.

“There’s a reason Man City, Dortmund, Man United and now Chelsea all let him go.

“If he’s desperate to get away from Man United, he’s going to have to make some accommodations.

“A lot of it will come down to his agents and the advise they’ll be giving him.

“The only realistic option, if he wants to make a permanent move, is going to be Saudi Arabia.

“If they come in for him, whatever the fee is, United are going to be willing to let him go.

“They can afford his wage demands, they’re probably the only ones who can, so that’s probably his most likely destination at the moment.

“Otherwise, he might have to go on loan again but that leaves United paying some of his wages and that’s a situation they don’t want to be in.”

Bryan Mbeumo update emerges at Old Trafford

Despite ongoing talk about Sancho’s departure, United remain locked in talks to improve in his position, with Bryan Mbeumo emerging as their top target.

Brown told Football Insider on 9 June that Man United are close to an agreement with Brentford over Mbeumo and are edging closer to his asking price after new talks.

The likes of Newcastle and Arsenal have been linked with the Brentford forward, but he is set to snub alternative interest as he has his heart set on United.

This comes after Football Insider revealed on 6 June that Man United will reach an agreement with Brentford, who are demanding £60million for his signature.
