European champions Arsenal Women will play all of their league matches at the Emirates Stadium in the 2025/26 season, the club has announced today.
Just weeks after the borough came together to celebrate the team’s historic UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) triumph, the announcement represents another milestone – one that cements Arsenal Women’s place at the heart of Islington’s sporting identity.
During the 2024/25 season, the team played nine of their Women’s Super League (WSL) matches at the Emirates Stadium, with an average attendance of 34,110, and a high of 56,748 in a 5-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in February.
In 2025/26, the European champions will play all 11 of their WSL fixtures at the world-famous stadium, in a major step forward for the women’s game.
Cllr Una O’Halloran, Leader of Islington Council, said: “It was a real joy to celebrate Arsenal Women’s Champions League triumph with our community – a moment we’ll never forget, which has inspired a new generation of fans.
“The team’s move to play all their league matches at the Emirates Stadium is another powerful statement about the future of the women’s game, and we can’t wait to welcome them."
The team will play all UWCL League Phase matches at their longstanding host venue, the Mangata Pay UK Stadium in Borehamwood, along with their FA Cup and League Cup fixtures.
Should the team qualify for the UWCL knockout matches, those fixtures would be played at the Emirates Stadium.
