“We Gone ver All Of It Ad Nauseam”: Aaron Rodgers Weighed-In Between Cam Ward, Daniel Jones by…

Aaron Rodgers ended all speculations concerning his new squad when he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday. Despite reservations from critics on the four-time NFL MVP’s contract with the Steelers, analyst Danny Parkins believes it’s worth the bargain the team had made.

Rodgers signed a one-year, $13.65 million contract with the Steelers, with $10 million guaranteed on Friday, hoping to turn things around for the rebuilding team. However, many doubt if the 41-year-old quarterback could still be the game-changer of the franchise.

But Parkins insisted otherwise. On Monday’s episode of the podcast “Breakfast Ball,” the sportswriter noted how Aaron Rodgers, despite his previous performances at the New York Jets, is still experienced compared to young QBs like Cam Ward and Daniel Jones, enough to make the Steelers’ deal financially advantageous.

“I don’t think that this is going to work,” Parkins said. “I think he will bring the circus with him, but just on a pure financial standpoint, yeah, right, that’s inarguable because he played 17 games last year.”

“He had 28 touchdowns. A lot of it was in garbage time, and he was not great in the clutch. We’ve gone over all of it ad nauseam, but he’s more proven than Cam Ward. He’s better than Daniel Jones.”

Aaron Rodgers had 3,897 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions with the Jets last season, but the team only ended up 5-12, insufficient to enter the playoffs. Since Rodgers won his fourth MVP in 2021, he has never had a postseason appearance.

Joining Rodgers is the battle-hardened Steelers roster, such as wide receiver DK Metcalf and linebacker T.J. Watt, all of whom are determined to finally make it out of their Wild Card curses and achieve a deeper run.

Analyst believes 2025 season is Aaron Rodgers’ final stint

Aaron Rodgers had played for 21 seasons in the NFL, and with his extensive set of achievements, he had shocked everyone by playing for one more year with the Steelers. However, Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox claims that the next season will be Rodgers’ last at the gridiron field.

“Should Pittsburgh manage to reach Super Bowl LX, it’s hard to imagine him finding reasons to return for his age-42 season, with the Steelers or elsewhere. With 10 Pro Bowls, four MVPs and one Super Bowl on his resume, Rodgers already has little to prove. Showing he can still play well at the end of his career will likely be enough,” Knox wrote.

Other than his MVPs, Aaron Rodgers had also won a Super Bowl back in 2010, and was the face of the Green Bay Packers of the 2010s. He also boasts the lowest touchdown-interception rating, and the highest passer rating on the NFL all-time.
