Report: Hawks hiring Pelicans GM Bryson Graham as Senior VP

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - More organizational changes are on the horizon for the New Orleans Pelicans.

General Manager Bryson Graham appears to be headed to Atlanta. An ESPN report says that the Hawks are hiring Graham as their next Senior VP of Basketball Operations.

Graham, 38, rose to the role of general manager after starting as an intern in New Orleans 15 years ago. After just one season as GM, he leaves New Orleans to become one of Atlanta’s lead executives.

**MORE PELICANS**

This leaves the Pelicans without a general manager just over two weeks before the draft.

Back in April, the Pelicans hired former Pistons legend Joe Dumars as their lead executive. Soon after, the team parted ways with Senior VP Swin Cash, who was replaced later that month with another former Detroit executive, Troy Weaver.

The NBA Draft will take place on June 25-26.
