Erin Andrews' Two-Word Message on Indianapolis Colts' Big Announcement

It was a sad day for the Indianapolis Colts when the organization's well-loved owner, CEO and chairman, Jim Irsay, passed away on May 21, 2025.

According to reports, Irsay died in his sleep in a Beverley Hills hotel room. His death certificate reportedly indicated that the immediate cause of death was "cardiac arrest, with acute pneumonia, chronic atrial fibrillation and cardiac arrhythmia as contributing conditions."

He was 65.

The Colts and their entire fanbase have since been in mourning as they continue to celebrate the life of the man who is widely credited for making the Colts one of the best teams in the league throughout his 28 years at the helm.

His passing, however, also means that the organization is set to undergo a major transition in terms of its ownership. On Monday, the Colts announced that Irsay's three daughters will be taking over.

Renowned NFL reporter Erin Andrews caught wind of the news, and she took to Instagram to share her two-word reaction to the Colts' major announcement.

"This. Awesome," Andrews wrote, sharing a post from Football Forever detailing the ownership transition.

Andrews kept her reaction short and sweet, but she made it clear with her strong message that she approves of the Colts' ownership transition.

Andrews has been an NFL reporter for Fox Sports for many years now. The veteran sportscaster has witnessed how Jim Irsay operated as the Colts' team owner, and it appears that Andrews is confident that his daughters are very much capable of the daunting task they have ahead of them.

According to the Colts' announcement, Irsay's three daughters, who have served as Colts vice chair/Owners since 2012, will assume new roles effective immediately.

Carlie Irsay-Gordon will become Owner & CEO. Casey Foyt will take on the role of Owner & Executive Vice President, while Kalen Jackson will become Owner & Chief Brand Officer and President of the team's foundation.

Carlie-Irsay-Gordon will serve as the team's principal owner, but the three sisters are expected to "share leadership duties for the club."
