Czech media furious with West Ham’s Tomas Soucek as Everton target has disaster vs Croatia

Tomas Soucek is looking for a reunion with David Moyes at Everton, but the Toffees manager might be reluctant now to secure a deal.

Soucek and Moyes were a match made in heaven at West Ham, with the big Czech midfielder coming up with big goals for the Scotsman.

The hope now is that he could do the same under Moyes’ project back on Merseyside, but Everton fans don’t want Soucek.

But Evertonians have no say in the matter, and in Moyes’ eyes, the 30-year-old can do nothing wrong.

Well, after a recent game, he might be agreeing with the Everton faithful as Soucek had a disaster-class.

As mentioned, Soucek came up with some key goals during Moyes’ reign at the Hammers, providing a real threat from set-pieces and any area where a header is presented to him.

The bond he had with Moyes could easily mean a move to Everton comes to fruition this summer, and with West Ham wanting to keep Soucek, it gives more reason why the Toffees should sign him.

However, going off recency, you would not agree in the slightest as the midfielder had an evening to forget as his Czech Republic side lost 5-1 to Croatia.

The 30-year-old got on the scoresheet, but Czech outlet iSport has given a harsh review of Soucek.

“He tapped Krejci’s header into the back post and scored his 15th international goal. He had problems building the game and setting up attacks, and Modric and his team taught him and his other technical skills,” they said.

“Soucek – 3/10.”

Despite howler Moyes should still bring Soucek to Everton

It was clearly a night to forget for everyone involved with the Czech side, but as captain, Soucek wouldn’t have been best pleased.

But once again, he showed his threat by scoring the header, and that should still give Moyes every reason to bring him to Bramley-Moore Dock.

15 goals for your country as a midfielder is impressive, and he’s continued that goal-scoring form for West Ham this season.

With Soucek happy to meet Moyes over a move, Everton can use him as an outlet, which brings fear to the opposition, as shades of Marouane Fellaini’s tenure can appear once again.
