Man Utd have made a fast start to the transfer window and another battle with Spurs could be on the cards for Antoine Semenyo.

Manchester United could have an entirely different looking forward line by the time the season kicks off with Ruben Amorim linked with a host of names.

Amorim is clearly looking for more athleticism, more goals and more creativity in his attack with Sky Sports claiming that another Premier League star is on the Red Devils boss’ radar.

Tottenham Hotspur are leading the chase for Antoine Semenyo who scored two goals in what could end up being his last appearance for the Bournemouth to finish with 11 for the season and five assists.

According to Sky Sports, United’s pursuit of Mbeumo has no impact on whether or not they will follow up on Semenyo: “Tottenham have stepped up their interest in Antoine Semenyo.

“However, Manchester United also remain admirers of the Bournemouth forward. That is despite United having a bid rejected for Bryan Mbeumo – a player also on the list at Spurs.

“Mbeumo appears to be United's priority target after a £55m offer was rejected by Brentford last week - and they are expected to follow-up with another offer.

“Sky Sports News can reveal, however, that United also remain keen on Semenyo along with Spurs.”

Semenyo is another great example of the type of player who could thrive under Amorim. Initially a No.9, the 25-year old has also shown his ability to cause problems out wide and could perform a number of roles in the red of united.

Man Utd tipped to see off late Spurs interest and land Bryan Mbuemo

Similar to Semenyo is Mbuemo who can play through the middle, on the wing and even as an auxiliary wing-back in the right formation. It is the sort of versatility that Amorim loves in a player and it looks like United have fought off Spurs to beat them to the signature of the Brentford star:

“United are advancing towards signing Bryan Mbeumo,” former Old Trafford chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider. “The player has made it clear he wants to join United, that’s the move he wants.

“They’ve made two offers for him now and they’re getting closer to reaching the asking price. So it’s a deal I expect to happen and one I expect to happen soon. There’s no way he now stays at Brentford, and both parties know that, so it’s in everybody’s interest to get the deal over the line.

“Ruben Amorim is a fan of his and he sees him as somebody who will improve his team. Personally I’d have a few questions if the talk about him demanding five times his wages are true, but I don’t think it’s going to disrupt the deal. He’s a very good player, he’s strong and quick and I think he’d be a good fit.”
