It is now very clear what Newcastle United must do regarding Manchester City superstar Jack Grealish.
His future is much up in the air this summer, with Grealish told to leave Manchester City for the good of his career. He has fallen out of favour under Pep Guardiola and needs a fresh start.
As a move away from the Etihad Stadium beckons, Newcastle United have been linked with signing Grealish.
There has been talk of a loan deal for the 29-year-old, and a lot of Newcastle fans are keen on signing Grealish. It would be a major surprise if Eddie Howe did bring the England international to Tyneside, and it would be even more surprising if it was a permanent deal.

Newcastle United discover Jack Grealish asking price
That is because the Magpies would have to make Grealish one of their most expensive signings ever.
According to TalkSPORT, Manchester City are willing to sell Grealish for £50million.
That is half the price they paid for him when he arrived from Aston Villa in 2021. But even at £50million, it is too much for Newcastle United to spend.
Newcastle are already struggling with the price of Premier League players this summer. Bryan Mbeumo is too expensive, while the likes of Joao Pedro and Anthony Elanga will cost huge sums of money if the Magpies do decide to bring them to Tyneside.

Grealish continues that trend, and there is surely no way that PIF decide to break the bank to sign the Manchester City playmaker.
Grealish goes against Newcastle United’s summer transfer plan
There is no denying Grealish’s ability. The 2023 Champions League winner is an exceptional player and could really rebuild his career on Tyneside under the guidance of Eddie Howe.
He also has traits that Newcastle United need. There were plenty of times last season that Newcastle struggled to play through a low block, and Grealish could resolve that issue.
However, one of the big problems is his age. Grealish is 29-years-old, turning 30 in September.
While he still has a lot to offer, Newcastle United’s aim this summer is to reduce the average age of their squad.
There is obviously value in experience, but the Magpies have plenty of that already in Kieran Trippier, Dan Burn and Fabian Schar.
Given his age and the finances required, Newcastle United must steer clear of Jack Grealish.
