The New York Jets' offseason so far has been one where the franchise has moved in silence, much to the delight of new head coach Aaron Glenn.
However, they won't be able to for much longer, with mandatory minicamp approaching and then training camp to follow. It is here that new quarterback Justin Fields will take center stage.
Thought to be on his last chance for a genuine starting role, Fields has been given a clear runway, despite Tyrod Taylor being in the building.
And for CBS Sports, that makes how Fields acclimates and performs with the rest of New York's offensive starters the biggest camp storyline to watch.
"It's a new era for the New York Jets after the club hired former Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn to be their newest head coach," CBS Sports writes. "Of course, the Jets also have a new quarterback after signing Justin Fields in free agency. How he looks working with the first team offense and his chemistry with former Ohio State teammate Garrett Wilson will be arguably the biggest storyline."

Given the Jets have already anointed Fields as the starter, he better show out early on.
Because if he looks so-so or has a poor camp, questions are going to be asked even before a snap is played regarding whether or not it was the right choice to not just select him as the starter, but to have him get it with no competition.
Yes, Fields has flashed at OTAs, with Brian Baldinger noting how impressive he was as a runner, but when the pads come on and the defense is all gas, no brakes, it will be there that we get a good indication of how Justin is traveling.
There are other things to look for, like who will step up behind Garrett Wilson as the No. 2 receiver, but there's no denying the offseason buck starts and stops with Fields.
