Manchester United have announced the departure of nine players after submitting their retained list to the Premier League.
The Red Devils have now officially confirmed that Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans are among those who will leave the club when their contracts expire at the end of this month.
Eriksen leaves Ruben Amorim’s side after three seasons at Old Trafford where he made a total of 108 appearances across all competitions.
The 33-year-old Danish playmaker, who joined on a free transfer from Brentford, scored his eighth and final goal for Man United from the penalty spot on his last appearance for the club in a 2-0 home win over Aston Villa in the Premier League last month.
Defensive duo Lindelof and Evans also featured in that final-day fixture, bringing up their 284th and 241st appearances respectively for the Red Devils.
Lindelof, 30, is bidding farewell to the Red Devils after an eight-year career on the red side of Manchester, where he celebrated winning the 2023 EFL Cup and 2024 FA Cup alongside Eriksen.

Man United remain in talks with Heaton over new contract
As for Evans, he has announced his retirement from football and departs Man United with a plethora of honours earned over his two spells at the club, where he made his professional debut as an academy graduate back in 2007.
The 37-year-old Northern Irishman won three Premier League titles, one EFL Cup, one Champions League and one FIFA Club World Cup during his first spell at Man United, before returning in 2023 and winning the FA Cup a year later.
Like Evans, experienced goalkeeper Tom Heaton also graduated from Man United’s academy and has been included on the club’s list of free transfers this summer.
However, the Red Devils have confirmed that they remain in discussions with the 39-year-old about a new contract that would see him continue as part of Amorim’s squad for the 2025-26 campaign.
Heaton returned to Old Trafford in 2021 as has acted as a backup goalkeeper ever since, making just three first-team appearances across all competitions, including his most recent in January 2023 in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup against Nottingham Forest.
Along with Eriksen, Lindelof and Evans, Man United have confirmed that academy players Hubert Graczyk, Jack Kingdon, Sam Murray, Tom Myles, James Nolan and Tom Wooster will all be released when their deals expire this summer.
