Arsenal ready sign Prem star, Gunners free sign Brazilian, Frenchman offered to Arsenal

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer speculation from icfootballnews featuring the likes of Kingsley Coman, Rodrygo and Ollie Watkins that you may have missed…

Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman has been offered to ARSENAL, it has been claimed in the media just days after it was claimed the French star has decided he wants to leave the Bundesliga giants, but would he be a good signing for the Gunners?

There has been alot of players linked with a move to the club – but now it seems that they may be able to sign one of their long-term targets, Coman – ad he is seemingly a player that Bayern no longer desire.

L’Equipe recently reported that after Coman and many of the club’s big earners were invited to leave Bayern, the France international has decided not to stay at the club. He is expected to leave the Bundesliga outfit before the transfer window shuts on August 30.

And Arsenal would consider bringing in another wide player as they have constantly been plagued by injuries over the past 12 months to a number of their main stars.

The French winger also has interest from Saudi Arabia as clubs swoop in to try and get a deal done.

Reporter Iomie Stanley told icfootballnews: ‘A few seasons ago Coman would have been a wonderful signing for ARSENAL – but now – he would not be.

‘It looks like he has lost that hunger and desire that made him one of the best n the world and we would not be surprised to see him leave Bayern – but not for the Gunners – possibly for a mega money move to Saudi Arabia.

‘The Premier League is a place that he would probably struggle to play his best football – he is a brilliant player – but needs space to work his magic.

‘Add that to his injury issues – he could be a risky signing that is for sure and a player that would like to be playing second fiddle to all those Gunners wingers.’

RODRYGO CHANCE?

It has been claimed in the media once again that Real Madrid will be open to letting long-term Chelsea and ARSENAL transfer target Rodrygo leave this summer, and he could be a great signing for the Gunners, according to reporter Iomie Stanley

Rodrygo has scored 13 goals and provided 10 assists in 50 appearances this season, but Tension has been building between the Brazilian and Real with the winger unhappy with his role in the team with his relationship with his teammates deteriorating significantly.

The former Santos starlet, who joined Real for €45million in 2018, is ‘angry’ with his diminished role and it has been claimed that he would be open to leaving the Spaniards over the next few months, with reports suggesting that he believes he has played his last game for Real.

Now, according to ASMadrid could be willing to part ways with the Brazilian forward if a substantial offer arrives. The ultimate decision, however, will rest with both Rodrygo and new head coach Xabi Alonso, who is reportedly scheduled to speak directly with the player soon.

However, It was claimed Real will be demanding a fee of €100million (£85m) for the player, and he will also look for wages around the £300k-a-week mark.

Stanley told icfootballnews:

‘Rodrygo has been world class for a few seasons, he is playing at Real and scoring the goals that big time players should be scoring, but his time at the club is probably coming to the end as the Spaniards look to keep on improving the side.

‘However – ARSENAL and Chelsea do not really need to splash the cash and add another winger to that attack, they already have a number of players that can do the job that Rodrygo does and we are sure that a move to the London clubs will not happen.

‘If he does leave Madrid, it could be for a move to Saudi Arabia or PSG, that would suit his style of football.

‘But if Arsenal did manage to get a transfer deal done, they would be signing a game-changing star that has the ability to win games on his own, he could be a great signing for the Gunners.’

ARSENAL STILL KEEN ON OLLIE WATKINS

ARSENAL are still considering Ollie Watkins as their statement summer striker signing, and he could be a very good signing for Mikel Arteta’s squad this transfer window.

Arsenal once again failed to win that Premier League season, despite a very impressive campaign for Gunners fans to watch, while they also failed to win any of the cup competitions that they were also in.

That has led to many reports in the media that Mikel Arteta is desperate to to improve the side and add a new striker to that attack, with many reports in the media claiming that Benjamin Sesko is the forward the Spaniard wants.

Arsenal are said to have entered talks with RB Leipzig over a deal for Benjamin Sesko, while they remain strongly linked with prolific Sporting Lisbon talisman Viktor Gyokeres.

But according to The Athletic, another move for Watkins this summer has not been discounted at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners made a shock late move to sign the England international back in the January transfer window, only to see a £60m bid firmly rebuffed as Aston Villa sold fellow forward Jhon Duran to Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

Iomie Stanley told icfootballnews: ‘Watkins is a proven Premier League player that can score 20-30 goals a season when he is fit, there have been calls for many seasons from ARSENAL fans that he should be signed, but the money has always been too high.

‘However – Arteta is desperate to sign a striker that suite the style of play that he likes to employ, and the way that Watkins plays, the desire that he shows, he would be a brilliant addition to that Gunners squad.

‘Aston Villa dont want to sell Watkins, but if the money is right, they Arsenal could very well get a deal done for Watkins

‘And to be honest, there are quite a few Arsenal fans that would like to see the player arrive too.’
