Report: Everton receive reply over conditions of deal for winger likened to Anthony Gordon

The Friedkin Group are exploring some big-money transfers at Everton this summer.

The Friedkins are expected to invest heavily in Everton’s squad, with David Moyes already eyeing a statement deal to sign Manchester City’s Jack Grealish.

David Ornstein has tipped Grealish to join the Toffees, with the 29-year-old almost certain to leave the Etihad Stadium after being excluded from the Club World Cup squad.

Grealish had a social media outburst recently, appearing to suggest that Guardiola was expecting too much of him in the limited minutes he was afforded.

So, there’s been plenty of talk around the England international, and one topic of discussion has been about how feasible a deal would be for Everton.

With that said, Man City have now shared exactly how much they want to sanction Grealish’s sale.

How much Manchester City want for Everton target Jack Grealish

Grealish has emerged as a surprise target for Everton, who are looking to add more creativity to their attacking ranks.

Fabrizio Romano says there’s a 35% chance of Grealish joining Moyes’ side, with the finances around the deal thought to be a stumbling block.

According to Capology, the City star takes home a £300,000-a-week pay packet, which is significantly higher than the current top earner Jordan Pickford.

And, as per talkSPORT, Everton have just found out that Grealish is going to cost at least £50m, making a permanent deal even more unlikely.

It’s now understood that the Friedkins will only sanction a loan move for Grealish, and even then, they want City to pay a proportion of his wages.

Grealish’s data is very similar to Anthony Gordon

According to FBref data, Grealish is of a very similar profile to former winger Anthony Gordon, who now plies his trade at Newcastle United.

The 29-year-old ranks in the top one per cent for progressive carries per 90 compared to his positional peers across Europe.

Grealish also sits in the top eight per cent for shot-creating actions, amplifying his excellent playmaking abilities.

He would certainly arrive with great fanfare at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, so that’ll certainly tempt the Friedkins into a deal.
