Leeds United are the latest side to show an interest in Aston Villa left-back Alex Moreno, Ben Jacobs and Alex Crook have reported.
Following reports earlier today stating that Burnley and Sunderland are interested in recent Nottingham Forest loanee Alex Moreno, Leeds United have completed the set of promoted clubs after making an enquiry over a possible deal.
The 32-year-old has been with Aston Villa since January 2023, amounting a total of 48 games for the club. He spent last campaign in the East Midlands, making 19 appearances for high-flying Forest.

With his situation yet to be resolved, Leeds United have thrown their name into the hat to secure his signature. Should LUFC wish to acquire his services, they will have to part ways with roughly £5m.
The Whites are currently poised to lose current left-back Junior Firpo this summer, with the Dominican Republic international a target for his former side Real Betis, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Moreno is another former Betis player, with his name also being on the Spanish side’s list.
Where next for Moreno?
Interest in Moreno is currently rife, with all three newly promoted Premier League sides interested, alongside a number of clubs back in his homeland, Spain. With his Aston Villa deal running until 2026, it seems a small fee will secure a move away, opposed to another loan switch.
Whether his next move comes in the Premier League or back in La Liga, the rumoured Leeds United target has plenty of experience in either league.

Combined across his time with Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest, as well as spells at Rayo Vallecano and Real Betis, Moreno has over 200 appearances in top flight divisions.
Forest secured European football last season, settling for the UEFA Conference League following results on the final day, though the Reds aren’t rumoured to be going back in for their former loanee.
A potential Firpo replacement for Leeds United
Adventurous left-back Firpo has become a fans’ favourite amongst Leeds United supporters, with the 28-year-old scoring four goals and assisting 10 in the Championship this season.

Despite the step up in division, his creativity and output from a left-back role will be greatly missed and subsequently difficult to replace for LUFC.
Firpo was an eye-catching signing when he first joined the Whites, costing a fee of £12.8m when he was signed from Barcelona back in 2021, according to Sky Sports. The Dominican has 43 Premier League appearances to his name, though Moreno adds additional experience, being four years older, whilst also being more defensively solid.
