Manchester United are adding new recruits to their side think and fast already this summer.
So far Enzo Kana-Biyik has joined from Le Havre, with the 18-year-old being an exciting striker for the future for The Red Devils.
The first major signing came with Matheus Cunha as United agreed his £62.5 million release clause to bring him from Wolverhampton Wanderers, set to be a major part of Ruben Amorim’s rebuild at Old Trafford.
Paraguayan left-back Diego Leon is also set to join the Red Devils this summer after United signed the then 17-year-old earlier this year.
United fans have also been hoping to see Bryan Mbeumo move to Old Trafford from Brentford before the transfer window closes for a week, however a little wait until later in the month is now expected to see this deal completed.
However, United have now signed Reece Munro from their Under-18s side, giving the talented centre-back his first professional contract.
Munro has been on of the captains for the United Under-18s side through this impressive season as The Red Devils came runners-up in the Under-18s Premier League.
With 27 appearances this season, including seven for United’s reserve squad in the Premier League 2, Munro has made his presence known to the senior squad, now seeing his development be rewarded.
Taking to Instagram to mark the occasion, Munro posted several photos of him signing his contract, captioned: “Delighted to announce I’ve signed my first professional contract with this massive club, a proud moment for me and my family.
“Thank you to those who have played a role in my journey so far.
“Hard work continues…”
Responding to these major milestone in Munro’s career, his fellow graduates such as Jaydan Kamason, Ethan Wheatley and Tyler Fletcher commented their appreciation, with academy stars James Overy and Gabriele Biancheri also heaping praise on the youngster.
