Manchester United have reportedly slapped a £70m price tag on Alejandro Garnacho amid interest from Aston Villa.
Unai Emery will need to add attacking talent to his squad this summer after Marcus Rashford returned to United following his loan spell, and Leon Bailey is expected to depart.
Marco Asensio has also returned to Paris, but Villa could make him a permanent member of the squad for a reasonable fee of around £12m–£15m.
According to the Independent, Villa are one of several clubs monitoring Garnacho, who is available to leave Old Trafford before the start of next season.
Chelsea, Atlético Madrid, Napoli, and Bayer Leverkusen are also in the queue for the 20-year-old.
However, the Independent adds that a move for Garnacho would depend on whether Villa sell Morgan Rogers, who has attracted interest from a number of teams.
Chelsea and Arsenal are known to be following the England international, who enjoyed a sensational campaign under Emery.
Rogers recorded 29 goal contributions across all competitions last season.
Garnacho, meanwhile, started 23 Premier League matches and scored six goals.
In all competitions, the Argentina international recorded 21 goal involvements.
