Man Utd now want to sign‘dangerous’ PL winger involved in 20 goals last season

Manchester United have posted an interest in Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo, according to the Daily Mail.

However, the Red Devils will face competition from Tottenham Hotspur for the services of the Ghana international as clubs prepare for the second phase of the summer transfer window opening on June 16.

Man United want to strengthen their options on the wings as they are expected to sell Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho this summer, and the ‘dangerous’ Semenyo fits the bill as he can play excellently well on both wings and even as a number 9.

The 25-year-old scored 13 goals in 42 games during the 2024-25 campaign, assisting seven times after ending 2023-24 with eight goals and three assists, and Man United could do with his quality in attack.

The 6ft 1in forward offers plenty of pace, physicality and a direct style of play which suits the demands of Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim, and pipping other suitors to him could be huge for the Old Trafford club.

They have already signed Matheus Cunha as a number 10, and a move for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo is being worked out after they recently submitted an improved offer for the Cameroon international.

It is also believed Man United want to sign a new striker, but whether they have enough room to complete three more attacking signings this summer remains to be seen.

They need to sign the right players across all the departments upgrades are needed in, and Amorim and director of football, Jason Wilcox, have to get most of their transfer decisions spot on in the coming weeks.

Signing both Semenyo and Mbeumo could go a long way as the Red Devils look to challenge for the top-six next term, and pulling off such a coup will be a huge statement of intent on their part.
