Tom Bogert and Ben Jacobs report for GiveMeSport that Lyon have agreed an €8m (£6.8m) fee for the transfer of Matt Turner of Nottingham Forest.
The fee is very similar to the £7m Forest paid Arsenal to sign Turner a couple of years ago.
That fee could have potentially risen to £10m after add-ons, but it’s unclear whether the goalkeeper has activated any of those bonus payments in his 21 appearances for Forest. If he hasn’t, Arsenal are unlikely to receive any more money if and when the goalkeeper leaves for Lyon.

Following those 21 appearances in his first season for Forest, Turner went out on loan to Crystal Palace last season. The goalkeeper only played four times for Palace, though it’s worth highlighting that three of those games were in their successful FA Cup-winning campaign.
The GiveMeSport report suggests Turner is keen on a move for more consistent minutes, immediately giving the green light to Lyon. As a result, the deal has come together very quickly.

Turner made seven appearances for Arsenal during his single season with the club, keeping four clean sheets in the Europa League and FA Cup.
The 30-year-old remains a regular for the U.S. Men’s National Team, and he’ll be keen to solidify his place in the squad ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
