The first transfer window of the summer comes to an end on Tuesday.
Premier League clubs have until 7pm on Tuesday to finalise deals, before the window reopens once again on Monday 16 June.
This gives clubs competing in the FIFA Club World Cup the opportunity to register players for the tournament, which starts on Sunday 15 June, although clubs not competing in the competition can also make additions to their squad.
Chelsea have already been busy this summer, signing both Dario Essugo from Sporting CP, and Liam Delap from Ipswich Town.
Now, it appears that the West London side are hoping to tie up a third signing before the first window of the summer closes.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues are in negotiations with German side Borussia Dortmund about a move for winger Jamie Gittens.

Romano claims that the London side have tabled an offer in the region of £42.3 million for the Englishman, who enjoyed an impressive campaign with Dortmund last term.
Gittens, 20, scored 12 times in 48 games for Dortmund across all competitions last season, as well as providing five assists.
Journalist Romano claims that the two clubs are discussing improvements to the conditions of a potential deal, with a view to reaching an agreement prior to Tuesday’s deadline.
Gittens joined Dortmund in the summer of 2020 as a teenager, having left the Manchester City academy.
He has now played more than 100 times for the German giants in total, but his impressive displays have attracted interest from elsewhere and it appears that the winner could return to England this summer.
Gittens spend time at Chelsea’s fruitful Cobham academy as a youngster, and Romano suggests that the West London outfit are determined to re-sign the player.
