Rangers are set for a pivotal summer as newly appointed manager Russell Martin looks to strengthen his squad and close the gap to arch-rivals Celtic.
The Scottish giants are assessing options that offer value and quality without significant transfer fees, with free agents becoming a major focus in their recruitment plans.
Martin’s side, who are preparing for a major rebuild, are reportedly targeting experienced names who can bring composure and creativity in key areas of the pitch.

Meanwhile Ruben Amorim will be hoping for the right departures to be made, to pave way for incomings.
According to former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown, Rangers are considering a shock move to sign Christian Eriksen on a free transfer.
Speaking to Football Insider, Brown – a long-time No. 2 to Sir Alex Ferguson – said Rangers are exploring whether to take a chance on the 33-year-old midfielder once he leaves Old Trafford this summer.
“From what I hear, they will look to explore the free agent market because there’s some quality there.
“They’re considering whether to take a chance on somebody like Christian Eriksen.
Brown explained: “He’s into his 30s now, he’s not going to get box to box.
“But he can pass and manipulate the ball in ways that their current crop of players can’t do.”

There are some concerns over Eriksen’s legs at this stage of his career, and wages remain a potential stumbling block.
However, Brown believes if the right support is built around him, he could thrive in Scotland.
“He could become an orchestrator in the middle of the park.
“If they can get runners around him and let him focus on what he can do in possession,” Brown added.
Eriksen has been linked with a return to Ajax.
However, Rangers see him as a high-risk, high-reward option to lift the squad’s technical level.
A move which may well benefit both parties.
