"Totally Convinced": Reliable Journalist Makes Benjamin Sesko Prediction Amid Saudi Pro League Links

Arsenal are the front-runners to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko despite interest from the Saudi Pro League.

The Gunners have been targeting Sesko for a long period of time, and are reportedly in talks with both Leipzig and the player over a deal to bring the 22-year-old to the Emirates this summer.

However, there has been recent reported interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, who want to bring the Slovenian in after they failed to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli. They would like to sign Sesko today, before the deadline for the first transfer window prior to the Club World Cup starting later this week.

However, despite the promise of big money in Saudi, Sky Sports Germany Journalist Florian Plettenberg believes that Arsenal will still be able to sign Sesko this summer rather than Al Hilal.

"I am totally convinced Sesko will play for Arsenal" 👀

He said: “I have a very good feeling on Sesko moving to Arsenal. Meetings have already taken place. RB Leipzig are expecting the first offer from Arsenal for Benjamin Sesko next week. I am totally convinced Sesko will play for Arsenal next season.”

If the Gunners can land Sesko, they would be bringing in a world-class striker, who is both tall and quick, making him a really difficult player to defend from.

Sesko scored 21 goals and provided six assists in 45 games for RB Leipzig last season, and may be the final piece of the puzzle for Arsenal to finally get over the line and win a Premier League title.

Who would be Arsenal’s backup choice to Sesko?

However, for all the claims from Plettenberg, there is still a chance that the Gunners fail to land the 22-year-old, and so they do have other options on their shortlist.

The first is Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres, who is also wanted by Manchester United. It looked after the season that Arsenal were going to move for him, however, it now seems that Sesko is the main choice.

Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike is also reportedly an option for the Gunners. He has also been linked with Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool. However, Ekitike is less proven, and thought to be more of a risky signing.
