Photo of Dillon Gabriel, Joe Flacco Sparks Reaction Over Striking Size Difference

One of the biggest topics of conversation in the NFL this offseason has been regarding the Cleveland Browns and their quarterback room. With a handful of options to choose from, with the likes of Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders, one of the driving storylines throughout the summer is going to be who is under center in Cleveland.

With mandatory minicamps upon us, all the passers are together, and this week we saw them go through the team photoshoots off of the field.

While it has very little to do with football, a photo that Gabriel and Flacco took together is turning some heads, purely for the apparent difference in their sizes when next to each other.

Gabriel and Flacco set out to recreate a photo taken by cornerback Martin Emerson Jr. and safety Grant Delpit, with one crouching and the other standing behind him flexing.

In general, the photo looks great, but the size difference is remarkable. Flacco is listed at 6-foot-6, 230 pounds while Gabriel is listed at 5-foot-11, 205 pounds. This lack of size from Gabriel is one of the reasons why some NFL analysts were not very high on him in the draft this year, where he fell to the third round. However, the Browns are in on his intangibles, despite his lack of height.

"Didn’t realize DG was so small," one fan said on social media.

"Dillon looks like a make a wish QB standing next to Joe," another fan joked.

"The fact that Joe is the same height has him squatting down" one fan added.

"Was it bring your kid to work day? That can’t be an NFL QB right?" another fan commented.

Gabriel's size didn't hurt him too much at the college level, where he broke records for all-time passing and all-time scoring. He also holds the record for the most starts by any quarterback at the collegiate level, playing for the UCF Golden Knights, Oklahoma Sooners, and Oregon Ducks.

Fans may joke about his size now, but if he is able to win games on Sundays, then nobody is going to care down the road.
