The first part of the transfer window is drawing to a close, yet Wolves have already waved goodbye to many of their first-team players.
Of course, the headline departures have been Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri. Cunha joined Manchester United for £62.5 million, whereas Manchester City signed Ait-Nouri for £33.7 million, a fee that was seen as too low by Wolves supporters.
The Wanderers also announced their retained list recently, and unsurprisingly, Pablo Sarabia was set for release upon the expiry of his contract, as was Craig Dawson, who was banished from training by Vitor Pereira.
Next on the conveyor belt out of Molineux is Goncalo Guedes, after links to Flamengo materialised, while £25 million-rated Fabio Silva is attracting interest from a raft of European clubs, and Wolves want just £3 million for Tommy Doyle.
In a huge summer of change, one player expected to be on the move is forward Sasa Kalajdzic, but an emerging report has dismissed any chance of a permanent exit.

Sasa Kalajdzic could leave Wolves on loan this summer
Kalajdzic has experienced a huge stroke of misfortune since joining Wolves for £15 million in 2022. Two ACL injuries have restricted the Austrian to just 14 appearances in three years.
The latest of those came during a loan spell at Eintracht Frankfurt in 2024, with Kalajdzic only returning to training by May 2025.
Wolves fans were happy to see the 27-year-old back on the pitch after a horrible time with injury, but they’re now wondering what the future holds for him.

As he’s experienced such a torrid time with injury, Kalajdzic is likely to head out on loan, and that is a sentiment shared by Charlie Gordon.
🟠 Understand Sasa Kalajdzic could leave Wolves on loan with Besiktas, Werder Bremen and Espanyol all interested. Permanent move is off the table due to injury record. Staying at #WWFC has not been ruled out.

The Daily Express journalist has reported that Besiktas, Werder Bremen and Espanyol are all interested in a loan move for the towering centre-forward, though a permanent transfer is ‘off the table’ due to his injury record.
Gordon also adds that Kalajdzic staying at Wolves hasn’t been ruled out, as extra support is required for Jorgen Strand Larsen in attack.
Wolves striker options assessed
There is only one certainty in the striker position ahead of next season, and that is Strand Larsen staying after completing his permanent transfer from Celta Vigo.
Aside from the Norwegian, no one else is guaranteed to be at Molineux beyond the summer, including Guedes, Hwang Hee-chan and Kalajdzic.
That is why keeping Kalajdzic – who Gary O’Neil once called ‘smart’ – would be a wise idea until they’ve got someone else in.
Pereira will be looking for someone else to challenge Strand Larsen, or perhaps partner with him in the forward line but perhaps Kalajdzic also deserves an opportunity to become a backup after an awful time with injury.
