Guido Rodriguez could potentially end his disappointing stint at West Ham United this summer transfer window.
The Hammers signed the World Cup winner on a free transfer after he left Real Betis last season, but things haven’t gone to plan for the midfielder in England.
Rodriguez has struggled to fit in at the London Stadium, enduring an underwhelming campaign that saw him lose his place in the starting lineup under Graham Potter.
Club America are interested in the Argentina international’s return, and the Irons have informed him of their intentions.

The news outlet reports (10 June) that the Irons have informed the 31-year-old that he’s transferable in the summer transfer window after a disappointing season at the London Stadium.

It’s been claimed that the midfielder has several offers on the table and he’ll be one of the players to leave the East London outfit in the coming months.
A transfer away feels like the best option for the Argentine ace with 30 international caps, as Potter doesn’t seem to trust him.

Potter inherited a broken squad from Julen Lopetegui, and the Hammers ended up finishing 14th in the Premier League.
Tim Steidten spent a significant sum on new arrivals last summer, and apart from Aaron Wan-Bissaka, none of the other signings arguably paid off.

West Ham must now implement a major squad overhaul to build a squad that Potter is capable of making progress with.
The former Chelsea head coach has demonstrated his qualities in the past at Brighton, and the Hammers must create a conducive environment for him to succeed.
It wouldn’t make sense for David Sullivan to stick with the English manager if he has no intention of backing him in the transfer window.
Edson Alvarez is another candidate to leave the London Stadium, and the East London club will undoubtedly need to find replacements in the engine room soon.
Rodriguez’s situation at the Irons is one to keep an eye on, but fans wouldn’t be surprised to see him leave.
