Man Utd have approached Viktor Gyokeres about a move to Old Trafford and Fabrizio Romano has the latest news.

Manchester United have ramped up their transfer business in the last few days with a host of big names being linked with moves to kick-start Ruben Amorim’s revolution.

Fabrizio Romano gives update on Man Utd’s chase for Viktor Gyokeres

The man in the know is Fabrizio Romano and the transfer supremo has given an update on his YouTube channel on United’s chances of signing the 15-goal Sweden international: “There are conversations ongoing but it's still not a done deal so until the (Benjamin) Sesco deal is done we have to be careful because in the market anything can happen.,” Romano opened about Arsenal’s interest in Gyokeres.

“Everything but at the moment Sesko remains the favourite, Victor Gyokeres remains the other option on the table for Arsenal, but as it's now two, three weeks that Arsenal are still not advancing on the Gyokeres deal all the other clubs keep calling his agents and that's what happened in the last 48 hours. So, over the weekend, because from what I heard Manchester United last week - United, Juventus, and Al Hilal also contacted Gyokeres’ camp. “

Who has Gyokeres turned down a move to already?

United are in a good position to persuade Gyokeres, who scored 54 goals last season, thanks to Amorim having worked with the 27-year old, not only that, but he played a key role in helping him get to the next level with his game.

Romano then explained who has already been ruled out of the chase for the big striker’s signature:

“New contacts with Victor Gyokeres camp to be informed on the situation, something like, ‘Okay, if Arsenal are not doing the deal, we are still there, we are still interested,’ then for United we have to see financially how they can make it happen because with Champions League football I'm 99% convinced that they were going to close the Gyokeres deal quite quick, I think that was the feeling.

“He said no yesterday (to Al Hilal), Al Hilal will try until the very end to change his mind, in case this can't happen they are contacting several strikers. What I'm hearing is that it's not the priority for the player to accept that proposal but Al Hilal could pay really big money

“So let's see what happens also with Al Hilal because in the last 48 hours, Juventus, Al Hilal and Manchester United all called the agents of Victor Gyokeres so, keep an eye on this one because I think it's going to be an interesting story in the next days.”
