Manchester United have reportedly 'held talks' to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen after his superb campaign on loan at Galatasaray - as Ruben Amorim prepares to bolster his front line after a massively underwhelming year in front of goal last time out.
Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee only scored a paltry seven goals combined in the top-flight last season as United struggled to a 15th-placed finish in the Premier League, highlighting the need for a new talisman - and now developments have further touted them to land Osimhen after making contact with his entourage.

The Red Devils are in dire need of a striker
Victor Osimhen
The report by TBR Football states that Osimhen is 'determined' to move to the Premier League this summer, and having scored 37 goals in just 41 games for Galatasaray this season, his form has continued to pique the attention of clubs such as United, who are in the market for a talisman - with Osimhen being dubbed as 'world-class'.

The Red Devils have the Nigerian on their radar, and are keen on acquiring him alongside new signing Matheus Cunha, who joined from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £62.5million, as well as Bryan Mbeumo, who appears to be edging closer to a move to the north west after his 20-goal season in the Premier League for Brentford.
Sources at TBR have claimed that United held talks over the Napoli star with his representatives last month, with Osimhen set to have no future at the Gli Azzurri, who are keen to secure a 'big sale' for him this summer.
The 26-year-old has a £63million release clause, which Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal could meet, but Osimhen's preference is for a move to the Premier League and that has been put into practice, as he's rejected a move to the Middle East at this moment in time.
Interest remains from United, though Napoli boss Antonio Conte would want in excess of £50million and Osimhen's hefty £400,000-per-week wage demands aren't entirely easy to navigate in terms of a potential deal. He doesn't believe them to be excessive, and a top-flight move is seen as a 'serious option' - especially given the fact that Osimhen has recorded double figures in each league campaign since the 2018-19 season across four different leagues.
