Liverpool are trying their best to get some big deals done before the window slams shut.
The Reds romped to the Premier League title but clearly don’t want to rest on their laurels by going after some of Europe’s biggest names.
Florian Wirtz will arrive at Liverpool soon for an expected £118m, but it appears as if they will not stop there and still have some money to spend.
Outgoings, such as Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz, are expected to happen, leaving some holes to fill towards the top of the pitch.
A striker is what many Liverpool fans are desperate to see come through the door at Anfield and they have been linked with many, although one target seems unlikely now after his manager issued a statement of warning.

Diego Simeone warns off interest in Julian Alvarez
Liverpool have lacked an out-and-out number nine for quite some time now, with the last player to regularly hold down the central position being Roberto Firmino.
With Darwin Nunez likely to leave, the desperation for a striker increases further, with Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez being one man linked to joining them.

However, his manager Diego Simeone can understand why clubs want his main man, but has warned clubs off from signing him.
“How could everyone not want him? Barcelona, PSG, Arsenal, Liverpool… the best have to want him,” Simeone told La Nacion.
“And for us, Atletico fans, it should be a source of pride that everyone wants him. “Why? Because he’s ours. And since he’s ours, we have to take care of him.
“We have to help him feel happy. How will he feel happy? By winning. And to get there, we all have to give 110 per cent.”
The likelihood of getting the Argentine was pretty low beforehand, but now, it seems near impossible to prise him away from the Spanish capital.
What other strikers could Liverpool get?
It is the hardest position to buy for in the modern era as strikers come with the biggest price tag, as the Reds are finding out.
Hugo Ekitike was towards the top of Liverpool’s shortlist, but his £85m asking fee has put them off in the past.
Buying Ekitike would be a huge gamble, but so would signing their other targets, such as Viktor Gyokeres or Benjamin Sesko.
Robbie Fowler suggested Ollie Watkins and suggested a Premier League-proven striker would be the way forward, something that certainly helps decrease the risk involved.
As of now, Liverpool’s focus is on getting Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez through the door, then a new number nine will likely be the next port of call.
