Thunder Projected to Select ‘Polarizing' Forward, International Center in 2025 NBA Draft

The Oklahoma City Thunder are one of just two teams remaining in the NBA playoffs as they are currently matched up against the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Finals.

Of course, the series is currently tied 1-1 with Game 3 on Wednesday as the Thunder look to take control of the series on the road.

While the Thunder are looking to cap off their dominant season with a championship, they also have some key decisions to make this summer which starts in the 2025 NBA Draft.

Oklahoma City holds the 15th and 24th overall selections in the upcoming draft where they will be able to upgrade their roster even more despite finishing as the best team in the NBA this season.

ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel recently released his mock draft where he has the Thunder selecting Collin Murray-Boyles 15th overall and Joan Beringer 24th overall.

“Collin Murray-Boyles is another one of those polarizing prospects who certainly has the attention of teams picking inside the top 10, but there is a chance he slips outside the lottery as well with other players on the rise,” Siegel wrote.

Murray-Boyles would be a perfect fit in Oklahoma City due to his length and defensive versatility at the forward position.

Last season at South Carolina, the sophomore forward averaged 16.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks per game while shooting 58.6% from the field and 26.5% from three-point range.

While he still needs to improve his outside shooting, there is no doubt that Murray-Boyles could bring a spark off the bench for the Thunder on both ends of the court, though he may be taken higher in the draft.

For Beringer, he averaged 4.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game while shooting 59.4% from the field last season in the ABA and he would bring another solid big man to the Thunder’s bench.
