Newcastle United have a busy summer on the transfer front as they look to strengthen their ranks ahead of their return to the Champions League.
Callum Wilson’s impending contract expiry means Newcastle will need to bring in some reinforcements up front in his place.
And Brighton & Hove Albion forward Joao Pedro could quite feasibly swap the Seagulls for Newcastle this summer.
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has confirmed that Newcastle have had conversations with Pedro following his “massive fallout” at Brighton.
Now, the Seagulls are ready to sell Pedro for the right price and Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is a big fan of the Brazilian.

Joao Pedro allegedly involved in training-ground altercation with Brighton teammate Jan-Paul van Hecke
Pedro was a notable absentee from Brighton’s 3-2 win over Liverpool in the Premier League on 19 May.
Seagulls head coach Fabian Hurzeler said that the Brazilian was not involved for “personal reasons”.
However, The Athletic reported that Pedro’s absence was due to a training-ground altercation with Jan Paul van Hecke.
This was said to have happened in the week building up to their Premier League game against Wolves on 10 May.
Pedro missed the season finale against Tottenham, with Hurzeler claiming it was because of a “small issue” in training.
“With Joao we had a small issue in training, the type that isn’t uncommon from time to time at all clubs,” Hurzeler told reporters. “It has been dealt with internally; the matter is closed.
“He is an incredible footballer, that’s why we invested in him, but there are principles that are non-negotiable, where we don’t make any compromises.
“He is still a young player. He will learn from this and can continue to grow.”

How much Joao Pedro could cost Newcastle
Despite Brighton playing the row down, TBR Football sources understand the Seagulls are now ready to move Pedro on.
Bailey believes the 23-year-old could now be available for less than £60million.
“Pedro has had a massive fallout at Brighton, the club played it down but they are ready to let him go now,” Bailey previously said.
“I think his price will be below £60million because of that falling out with Jan Paul van Hecke, who’s going to get a new deal – Pedro wants out now really.”
